FAITH IS OUR TICKET
TO NEW LIFE IN GOD’S GRACE – Ray E Horton

We have access to the Grace of God through our Faith, rather than works. By stepping out in that Faith, we are justified and have peace with God through Jesus’ cross and resurrection. And because of our access to the Grace provided by Jesus, we rejoice in the blessed hope that someday we will be fully like Him, glorified, even as our spirits are already.

Access by Faith

No one is allowed in without a ticket. Our own good works won’t grant us admission. God’s grace can only be accessed by faith

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-2).

Faith is our admission, or ticket, into the grace of God. No one is allowed in without a ticket. Our own good works won’t grant us admission. God’s grace can only be accessed by faith,” Andrew Wommack points out in his commentary on these verses. He continued: “…Paul was rejoicing because of the grace that had been given him and the hope of being glorified with Jesus.

“Anybody could rejoice because of those good things, but Paul went on to say that he had the same rejoicing even in the midst of tribulation. Not many people rejoice during the hard times. But Paul could make this boast because he was totally convinced of the faithfulness and unconditional grace of God. Those who can’t rejoice during tribulation are not convinced.”

Rejoice in the Hard Times

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope” (Vs. 3-4). Why is it that we can glory with hope in tribulation: “…because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Vs. 5).

So let us choose to rejoice in every circumstance and walk in faith, because we have access to God’s Grace, we have the peace of God, we have the hope of glory, and we have the love of God in our hearts since the Holy Spirit has been given to us. We have all we need. Believing that will transform your life.
