How can you not see that the Calvinist doctrine of Original Sin directly contradicts what the Father explained in Ezek 18:1-20? Please read and let me know if I’m reading correctly.
I heard you say some things that were carnal and base. For example ‘people here present and defend their beliefs for money.’ Effectively calling the ministers of Christ a hireling or worse. So which statements do you mean? Do you mean the statements asking for an definition of repentance in the Bible. lol
I love you but not enough I guess…
Troy Day and Street Preacherz. I do appreciate men who have enough gumption to call a heretic a heretic, but to be fair shouldn’t you also put your evidence on the table when challenged?

I have, Troy. And after reading from Pelagius’ letters I see that Augustine’s story is very slanted. I’m really big on not judging before hearing both sides of the story.
Wasn’t he declared to be a heretic by the leaders of his day.
How can anyone deny the existence of the sin nature we have until we are entirely sanctified. David said in sin did my mother conceive me.
At what point we do overcome all sin in our life. That I’m not sure. I know that a believer no longer commits willful sin, which apostle John tells us that it is a willful transgression of a known law of God.
And finally Paul said not that I have arrived but I press toward the mark
Yes David said that but there are various interpretations. According to I Kings 15:5, that same David lived to be quite an old man before disobeying God once.
And I do not think your quote from Paul, in context, convicts him of being a practicing sinner who tells others not to sin (a hypocrite). But if you think otherwise, please demonstrate. I just now read the passage again and it contains a list of things to which he might be referring and being freed from sin is not one of them.

A beautiful gathering of Jacob Arminues with his own explanation of sanctification and not the superficially impressed on him Pelagian heresy Wayne Scott >>> https://books.google.com/books?id=7p89AAAAYAAJ&pg=PA533&lpg=PA533&dq=Jacobus+Arminius+believed+in+profession&source=bl&ots=V1SLkElgal&sig=zDHeWtrG8wKF5BrPQMErl4hl3SI&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CDMQ6AEwBGoVChMIgdGsrLvwyAIVCD4mCh2vzQim#v=onepage&q=sanctification&f=false

Thank you

Wayne Scott Pelagian heresy has nothing to do with Weslyan Renewal theology. Ol boy was rejecting original sin before anything else…
Wayne Scott
Great article, Troy. But from where do you get the idea that Arminius taught that a sanctified person continues to sin?
And please explain exactly how this differs from what you’ve heard me say.

Can we please not derail this thread. If you want to discuss this please open another thread.
Wayne Scott
Street said I wrote //”‘people here present and defend their beliefs for money”//
Now that is serious, so I request that you open another thread by copying and pasting my words with date stamp.

The derail happened long ago in the garden…

If you want purity in your arguments talk to God. But you won’t last long. Copies 15¢

You presented words as my quote and I asked you to copy and paste with date stamp.
Street Preacherz, this is serious.

Confirm or deny? Not an exact quote.
Comey is in.. later.

I do not remember saying that specifically about those in this group whom I do not know. I may have said such about false teachers in general.
Street Preacherz
Right. My apologies. I just killed a wasp nest! For free. Does that count as good works? It wasn’t really dangerous. Love lifted me. Love lifted me…

Already did – denial of original sin, justification by works ie penance, salvation without needing Christ – #noughsaid
Wayne Scott
Is that hearsay or do you have a quote from Pelagius or me?
Wayne Scott
And earlier I asked you,

Wayne Scott Pls read AUGUSTINE v PELAGIUS ON ORIGINAL SIN before addressing the issue with the Pelagian heresy in this group again Thanks~

Isn’t the only issue whether either man’s view agrees with what God said in Ezek 18:1-20 which seems to clearly address the doctrine of original sin?
