| PentecostalTheology.comJESUS, THE CENTER OF CHRISTMAS
~ poem by Ray E Horton
Jesus is the center of it all.
It started in a manger,
And ended on a cross.
God’s gift, the Savior of us all
Jesus is Creator of it all.
He humbled Himself and came
To bring back all we lost
From our first parents’ garden fall.
Amazing plan from eternal past
Made as objects of His love
Restoring us to Him,
To give eternal life at last.
To baby Jesus, led by a star,
While heavenly angels sang,
The simple shepherds came,
And traveling wise men from afar.
Glorious Jesus, in swaddling clothes,
Would grow to be our Savior
And teach the heavenly way
Then shed His blood and suffer blows
Jesus, innocent, holy and pure,
Dependent babe so little,
Great love for you and I,
One day the cross He would endure.
Beautiful Jesus, the gift of love
Came to Earth this Christmas day.
We too can be a gift.
We have the love that’s from above.
With Jesus the Center of our lives
Showing forth His love to all
You’ll bring joy far and near
And put an end to hate and strife.
He shall return! He shall rule and reign!
Meanwhile, let Him reign in you.
Like Jesus you can be;
Freedom bring them from every chain.
Your time, and the truth and love do give;
Other things will one day fail.
Give what they need the most:
Jesus – eternal life to live.
Respond now to the call:
Jesus is the center of it all.
