INTRODUCTION TO “Understanding the Bible” In this study of “Understanding the Bible” we will cover many areas about the Bible, some of which are as following: The importance of the Bible, Islamic view of the Bible, Dead Sea Scrolls, archaeological discoveries that back up the Bible, Organs of the Bible, Authenticity of the Bible, Earliest MSS, the canon and some non canonical books, How to use exegesis and avoid eisegesis, the role of the scribes, languages of the Bible, Biblical apologist and translations of the Bible. We will close with a short study of hermeneutics.
