The Circle of Life in the Spirit – Ray E Horton
There is a self-perpetuating Circle of Life in the Spirit. A glorious circle of infilling, spending and filling again. A circle with Jesus, outside of which we don’t fully experience His overwhelming love and strength.
The Lord downloaded this to my heart as I was driving home from the Evening with the Holy Spirit meeting, where the Holy Spirit’s theme seemed to be Restoration. A lady got up and spoke the word of the Lord about restoration in lives and relationships. I shared the dream I had of praying Lam. 5:21, “Restore us to You, Oh Lord, that we may be restored. Renew our days as of old.” The Lord spoke through Traci. “You were made for My joy.” Another word came forth from a worship team brother: “It is time to activate who you are in me. I am real in you,” says the Lord. “Walk like Me! Talk like Me!”
We sang, “Your Presence Is Heaven to Me.” And we sang, “There’s power in the Name of Jesus, to break every chain.” I was so full of the spirit as God confirmed much of what He has been telling me.
So often Christians are held back and hindered by the humdrum of daily life. They are not experiencing the richness of the Circle of Life in the Spirit
The Bowing of the Heart
How do we break into that Circle of Life in the Spirit? It starts with the new birth, putting our trust in Jesus. Yet, so often Christians are held back and hindered by the humdrum of daily life. They are not experiencing the richness of the Circle of Life in the Spirit. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the gifts of tongues, prophecy, and more could keep us on the circle. But so often the gift isn’t unwrapped and used. It starts with the bending of the knee, the bowing of the heart, the praise of His name, as He says in the prophetic word below. It comes from time in His presence.
Praise and worship through a yielded heart, a trusting heart, brings us to experiencing the presence of the Lord. That place where there is “fullness of joy” (Psalms 16:11), and “the joy of the Lord is our strength” (Neh. 8:10). The joy of the Lord comes from the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, Who is our ability to overcome. And we overcome so we can put aside our concerns for His, yielding more deeply, filled with His glory, thankful, receiving the desire to love and serve Him by serving His people.
And, when His glory overflows in our lives to touch and heal others, and the Kingdom advances, then we are once more drawn into His presence, which brings renewed praise and refreshing joy, the joy of living in Him and He in us and seeing the result of much fruit. And we are strengthened to continue on, serving and loving. It is a self-perpetuating Circle of Life.
The Lord spoke to my heart:
“Oh, jump into My Circle of Life,” says the Lord. “It is through the bending of the knee, the bowing of the hearts and the praise of My Name that I raise you up to speak in the power of My Name with all of My authority, and the earth shakes, the enemy flees, and the world around you is restored. Be a part of My corporate Circle of Life in the Spirit as it moves forward like a great whirlwind, awakening the lost, and awakening My sleeping and complacent people to the life that I intended for them.
“Oh, surrender your heart, your very life to Me,” says the Lord. “They are mine, but I will only receive them willingly. Let go and let Me be Lord of every area. Bow down, and I will raise you up to be a part of the whirlwind that will bring great change, a mighty awakening to push back the darkness and advance My Kingdom to bring in the harvest before I return.”
