Sister Cindy has probably talked to more young people “than Carter has pills” so she would know. I hope she is fully recovered. You know she got attacked on campus last year.

Medical aspects of addiction is very important. The first three days and two weeks is critical. Two weeks is the phase called PAWS. Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms. When the emotions and mood swings can be very dramatic as the feelings start to come back. This maybe the first time in a long time they actually face the problem without medication. These are some real markers to look for. There is a condition called antihedonia also. Because of the depletion of natural chemicals dopamine for example the patient cannot feel pleasure. So somewhere around 6 months they done the work. Maybe they’re back to work their families are talking to them again the sky is blue the birds are singing but they are not happy. The ability to feel happy takes awhile to heal. So it can be a “trigger” or stumbling block. I believe in miracles and the joy of the Lord and grace but there are things we should be looking as well as deliverance. These are the “helps”God gives us. The fruit if the spirit is Joy praise God for that but long-suffering and Temperance are too. So men need help. Jesus can help them. It’s very refreshing to see a leading Pentecostal preacher look at the practical aspects of recovery. Thank you. Matthew 4:10 is still the best thing you can teach a man. Reminds I better call this guy he’s two weeks sober.
