Bill Stockham | PentecostalTheology.com“THE REVELATION FROM JESUS CHRIST, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw–that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev. 1:1-2) [The whole Bible is the revelation from Jesus Christ; for all revelation comes through Him and all revelation centers in him; specifically in these last days God has spoken to us by His Son, and relating to his Son.] “BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO READS ALOUD THE WORDS OF THIS PROPHECY, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because THE TIME IS NEAR.” (Rev. 1:3) [It is our privilege not just to read the scriptures ourselves, but to hear them read by others, who are anointed to give us the sense of what they read and to lead us into an understanding of them!] “I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw…was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.” (Rev. 1:12-15) [What a beautiful description of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and just think, we are blessed as we read these words, why? This is the revelation of just who Jesus is, and what He will do as things wrap up and he comes back to catch us away!] “HERE I AM! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I WILL GIVE THE RIGHT TO SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Rev. 3:20-22)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that THE FEAR OF THE LORD LEADS TO LIFE; THEN WE CAN REST CONTENT, UNTOUCHED BY TROUBLE!
