“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light… God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning–THE FIRST DAY.” (Gen. 1:1, 3-5) [All of this was done on the first day, but where was that “light” coming from? The sun of course, but wait, God had not created the sun yet, look!] “God made two great lights–the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars…to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning–THE FOURTH DAY.” (Gen. 1:16, 18-19) [Day One: God creates light to separate the light from darkness, Day Four: God creates the sun, the source for that day one light. Why does God do it this way, to demonstrate to us right from the beginning, God CAN DO ANYTHING, in WHATEVER ORDER, AND WHATEVER WAY THAT PLEASES HIM!] “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU…Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: “I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL MANKIND. IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?” (Jer. 32:17, 26-27) [The Lord God Almighty is the source of all being, power, life, motion, and perfection: He made the heaven and the earth with his outstretched arm; therefore WHO CAN CONTROL HIM? WHO DARES CONTEND WITH HIM? Know that with God NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, no difficulty is overwhelming: NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU LORD! When our ability and influence get somewhat confused, God is always the source of strength and wisdom sufficient to master any obstacles!] “…we have no power to face this vast army…WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, but our eyes are on you…This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged…THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S.” (2 Chron. 20:12, 15) [We must learn WHEN TO SUBMIT TO OUR ABBA FATHER and put our difficulties in HIS hands; NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR HIM!]
